Suprising Trends for Autumn 2015
This week in the 'Autumn Trends' series we are looking at colour. As summer fades away and the trees start to turn golden we usually see a swing in the colours that are being used in our homes. This year though the colours to keep you bang on trend are following through from the summer season.
Blush nude/pink is still one of the most popular ways to accent your home.
The best thing about this blush hue is that it works perfectly with our Hamptons favourite base colour of grey.
There is something very elegant about the two mixed together and grey is a such a fantastic base colour, as it adds a cosier, more homely base to your space than stark white, whilst keeping it modern.
For your pinks think the blush colour of pale roses or the nude colour of a beautiful silk.
Also making a welcome return for Autumn is blue. Suprisingly pastel blue as well as a darker more vivid blue, blue is the colour of the season. You only have to look at the cover image Elle Decoration chose for their magazine in September. Pastel blue is an easier fit and for many, easier to live with so don't be afraid to stick to the pastels this autumn. Try adding just a touch with our Curtis, or Winnie, set of three bowls shown below.
Whichever colour you decide to use this autumn make it fit to your own style. Lots of vibrant colour, or just a hint in a neutral room, either way can work.
Next week in the Trends of Autumn series we will be looking at patterns making a return for 2015 and how to use them in your home.
